Privacy

Personal details (email addresses, telephone numbers, addresses ) of my clients as well as any digital or physical photographs sent either digitally or actually, are never shared with anyone else. I will not contact past customers with marketing material. If you decide not to comission a portrait for any reason, I will not store your contact details.

Your reference photographs will be kept securely and will be deleted once the portrait is completed. I keep a high resolution scan of finished portraits, in case extra prints are ever requested, but I will not keep one if you ask me not to.

 

Guarantees

When I have finished your portrait, I will e-mail you a good photograph of it. If you want minor alterations, I will let you know if these are possible, but once I have made any possible adjustments , if you are still not pleased with the likeness, I would give you a full refund. I would offer the same refund if, on receipt of your portrait, you are not satisfied with my work. I would ask you to return it to me and I would refund you postage too. This has never happened.

If the portrait is lost or damaged in transit then a full refund would be issued, or a replacement of the portrait offered. All commissions will be insured against damage during delivery and carefully packaged to try and avoid this possibility.

 

Deposit & Payment

To secure a slot in my work diary and waiting list you can pay a 50% deposit. When I've completed the work I'll send you a good quality photograph of your portrait, and at this stage the balance should be paid. I will not take ANY payment until we've agreed on a suitable quality reference image to work from and we're both happy to proceed. Get in touch to arrange monthly installments if that would suit you better.

 

Prices

The price you pay will be the price shown on the website at the time you commissioned the portrait. The portrait is commissioned when I've received the agreed photo reference AND been given the go-ahead to start drawing. That is the point when the commission is added to my work diary.

 

Copyright

I legally retain full image rights on any artwork I produce, but I am very happy for you to use the image of your commissioned artwork in any non-commercial way you like. You can share the image, make your own printed copies for friends and family - that's fine, but please point them to my website!

I can offer Giclee prints of your portrait on beautiful archival art paper (80 years), just let me know what size you would like and I can let you know the price. Prices start at £50 plus postage.

I may display copies of finished portraits on my website, Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest pages for promotion purposes. I will not use any persons name or identifying remarks about the human portraits. Any testimonials will not be linked to a specific image. If you don't want your portrait to appear online just let me know. I will always check with you whether you are happy for your portrait to be featured.
